To Uncle Dave on his 50th Wedding Anniversary

There once was a man known as Dave
Who for tennis and pizza would crave
He married Aunt Flo
Five decades ago
An anniversary about which to rave

Not content With just Illinois
A road trip is David's great joy
To visit family and friends
Is what he usually intends
A Chinook used to be his great toy

The travelling caused some concern
Anne and Richard would try to be stern
With Flo lying down
Dave would drive ALL around
For adventure he always would yearn

At least now they no longer try
And are recently content to fly
No more a road menace
He can focus on tennis
Our pizza adoring guy
